You must be 18 or over. Make an appointment to speak with a trained healthcare medical provider via Telehealth. If you qualify, you will sign consent, then pay for the consultation and for the product. The product will be mailed to your house.
Prices vary depending on the medication type, dose, and whether you use insurance to pay for it. Currently, most insurances do not cover the medication for weight loss unless there exist co-morbidities. The consultation fee is $150 per month. If your insurance covers the product, you will only pay the consultation fee. No insurance, no problem. To get started the cost is about $300 for 6 weeks’ worth of medications, that covers the initial consultation and the starting dose of semaglutide. As the dose increases, the price increases. Tirzepetide (mounjaro) cost more. Prices can change at any time. Once ordered, the products cannot be returned and there is no refund. There are many discounts and promotions (referral bonus, biggest loser, etc.)
No. We do not treat new patients with a normal BMI with weight loss pharmacotherapy unless the patient shares outside records documenting a previous history of obesity.
If I take weight management medications, do I still need to eat healthy and exercise to lose weight?
Yes, weight loss medications are most effective when part of a holistic treatment plan, including long term lifestyle changes. A board-certified Medical Provider will work with you to determine a diet and exercise plan that works for you.
When weight loss medications are stopped, weight gain can occur. However, appropriate lifestyle modifications can help prevent or delay the process.
Semaglutides is the generic name for Ozempic and Wegovy. This is a class of medications called glucagon like peptide 1 (GLP-1) agonists. GLP-1 agonists work by stimulating your pancreases to increase insulin. They delay gastric emptying which sends a signal to your brain that you are full. This helps to suppress your appetite and lead to weight loss.
Weight loss usually happens however, results vary. Results are dose dependent. Some people will lose weight at the lowest dose, others, will need a higher dose before they start to lose weight.
